Roberto García is an Associate Attorney with Hayes, Ortega & Sanchez. Mr. Garcia represents unions and their members in arbitration and cases before the National Labor Relations Board. As an experienced trial attorney, Mr. Garcia represents members in litigation, including discrimination and wage and hours cases.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Garcia worked for César E. Chávez and Dolores Huerta’s United Farm Workers of America (UFW) as a union representative where he negotiated and enforced collective bargaining agreements and worked on cases involving unfair labor practices and administrative law hearings with the ALRB. He also worked on labor and political action campaigns of organizational endorsed candidates and ballot measures.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Garcia was a staff attorney with the Inner City Law Center where he represented low-income tenants in affirmative housing litigation cases. Prior to that, he was trial counsel with BASTA, Inc., where he represented low-income tenants facing eviction from intake, all the way to jury trial. While in law school, he worked as a law clerk for a Los Angeles labor law firm.
